In 2008 several Pescadores who reside in NE GA felt the Lord calling for us to
be proactive in promoting reunion groups and formal fellowship focusing on this part of the state. We had a heart for those Pescadores returning from their Tres Dias weekend and not having the
benefit of experiencing an active 4th day with other Pescadores.
We had our first Secuela at Cornerstone Church of
God in Athens in the Fall of 2008, and drew a crowd of over 60 coming from all points of NE GA: Hartwell, Washington,
Winder, Lawrenceville, Dacula, and Athens to name a few cities. This inspired us to commit to
having regularly scheduled Secuela’s, and we were warmly welcomed by our 4th day friends at Church of the Nations and Princeton United Methodist Church in
addition to Cornerstone COG to use their facilities. In addition, under the leadership of Tres Dias of North GA we formed our Steering Committee to begin the foundation of TD of NEGA. The
goal was to form a body of 30 men and 30 women who would commit to serving this new Tres Dias community through sponsorship, serving on the teams, providing palanca, prayer, financial support, and
attending all of our events (Secuela’s, send offs, serenades, and weekend closings). They are known affectionately as “Founding Members”. We reached this number in late 2009, and at that
time our Secretariat was created and and plans were begun for our inaugural weekends.
Several from our community had attended weekend events at the Legacy Retreat
Center in Homer, GA, and we have been blessed to be able to use this wonderful facility for all of our weekends so far. It is a true gift from God.
Since our inception we have been undergirded with prayer and our desire is to
have a profound influence on developing leaders for the Kingdom of God in Northeast GA.
To God we give all the glory, honor, and praise
