What is Tres Dias?

Tres Dias is derived from Cursillo de Christianidad, a "short course in Christianity," which has been a tool of church renewal since its beginnings in Spain in 1949. It began in the United States in 1972 and is now overseen by Tres Dias International.

Spanish for "three days", Tres Dias is an interdenominational weekend for adults that concentrates on the person of Jesus Christ and His teachings. The weekend begins on Thursday evening and ends on the following Sunday evening. During these three days, you will learn what it means to live the Christian ideal while experiencing a personal encounter with Jesus Christ.

The weekend is led by a team of former attendees. A series of talks are given by lay and clergy. Each talk is discussed in table groups. The interchange in these discussions makes Christ's teachings come alive.

Tres Dias offers an environment of love, joy, Christian fellowship, worship, communion, and laughing. It is not a retreat, nor does it provide the individual solitude of a retreat. However, many who have attended have experienced a deeper, more meaningful relationship with Christ as they sense His love in a new and dynamic manner.

After attending Tres Dias, the rest of your life is called the Fourth Day. You are encouraged to continue the principles of Tres Dias in your Fourth Day by intentionally strengthening your spiritual life and becoming a more active disciple of Christ, influencing the world and the church on His behalf. Regular contact with an accountability group (a.k.a. a reunion group) and the Tres Dias community will enhance your relationship with Christ and ensure what you gained and experienced on the weekend continues to flourish throughout your life.

Our Beliefs

Tres Dias is an interdenominational movement that focuses on the person and teachings of Jesus Christ. We stress those things Christian denominations have in common—the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ—and respect those things which are different. Tres Dias' main teaching is God’s unqualified love for each of us through grace.

Our Secretariat

The Secretariat is the governing body that manages TDNEGA's business affairs and supports the teams of volunteers in preparing for and carrying out each weekend. The Secretariat is also responsible for ensuring TDNEGA adheres to the Essentials of Tres Dias, the TDNEGA Constitution and By-laws, and the TDNEGA Policies and Practices.
